Caroline Burns
Mexico Staff
Caroline’s first experience with Back2Back was an absolutely life changing spring break trip in 2006. In that week, God completely changed the direction of her life. In the months leading up to her college graduation, she felt God calling her to move to Mexico to love the fatherless. Originally from Cocoa Beach, Florida, Caroline graduated from The University of Florida with a degree in Nutritional Sciences in the Fall of 2007 and shortly after in 2008 moved to Monterrey to work with Back2Back full-time.
Caroline spent much of her first two years on staff working with the visiting American teams and filling gaps for the other full-time Back2Back staff. In the summer of 2010 Caroline was asked to full a short-term need as the full-time caregiver for the youngest boys at Casa Hogar Douglas. This experience led her to want to serve the children’s home workers. Now in her third year on staff, Caroline spends most of her time working at Casa Hogar Douglas providing childcare throughout the week with an emphasis on reading books, so that the full time caregivers can have a true day of rest. It is her hope and prayer that through a full day of rest these caregivers will be better equipped to love and serve the children throughout the week, and that literacy skills will improve these children’s futures.
